Hello, I’m Sylvain Philipe.
I am the manager of the AVSimulation pre-sales team. I work with a team of six pre-sales engineers based in Asia, Europe and North America.
Can you explain who the trial versions are for ?
Trial versions are for everyone. Whether you already have SCANeR and want to discover a new feature of SCANeR, or you are just looking to evaluate our product as a whole, evaluation versions are for you.
They are available on our website via a request form. You can also contact one of our sales representatives and they will be happy to send you a link to download it.
You will see that it is easy to use and you can deploy it on different types of media:
- Your workstation
- On your driving simulator
- HPC
- Real time library
- And more…

What are the advantages of a trial version and why choose it ?
We know that there are more and more software on the market and that it is never easy to find the one that fits your needs. At AVSimulation, we are convinced that SCANeR is THE solution for automotive simulation, thanks to our customers’ feedback.
The reason is that SCANeR meets all needs, from research labs to engineers developing test and validation systems. SCANeR can be deployed on all types of architecture, which makes it easy to use throughout the V-cycle. So you can go from MIL/SIL to HIL/DIL/VIL.
We also know that investing in a software solution represents a significant effort for a company.
That’s why we are proud to offer a free trial version that allows you to test SCANeR at your convenience.
What products are available ?
All our packages are available on the trial version. You can test all our products: SCANeR studio, SCANeR explore, SCANeR compute. It is also possible to request all our additional features: ADAS, Physics Based Sensors, Human Factors, and much more.
The NCAP & Regulations package developed by UTAC is also available in trial version.
Do you have support if you are not a client ?
Yes, at AVSimulation we will always make sure that someone is helping you during your evaluation.
A dedicated engineer will follow your evaluation with you. This is of course at your convenience, and based on how you want to follow up. If you want to go it alone, we offer solutions that we have created for you and our clients. These include tutorials, videos and examples that cover everything you need to get started with SCANeR. You’ll then be ready to run a simulation, and then take it a step further by connecting your various systems for testing.
To complete this, we also offer the “Samples pack”, available on GitHub. The Samples pack is a set of examples made for you for free. It is a collaborative tool, you can share your own examples, complete the existing ones and much more…
And if you want an example that is not on the Samples pack, ask the engineer who follows your evaluation, he will be happy to help you.
How long does a trial version take ?
A trial version is available by default for 45 days, we offer you the possibility to renew it for another 30 days.
After this period, if you want another extension, it is always possible, just ask us.
After the trial, will customers be left without help ?
No, customers will never be on their own once they have completed their trial. At AVSimulation, we offer services to our customers at different stages of their project. For example, after your evaluation of SCANeR, we can offer start-up assistance.
This start-up assistance service helps you accelerate your project, as you will have dedicated SCANeR experts to accompany you and help you integrate SCANeR into your ecosystem.
In addition, we offer SCANeR trainings, we have the complete catalog on our website. Do not hesitate to consult it, as we offer courses on the basics of SCANeR up to expert levels.
Of course, we also offer maintenance services with different ranges of services depending on your constraints and your budget. Standard, Premium or Enterprise.
We also offer other services such as content creation: scenario, 3D, environment and much more.
